Following is a verse from the Kārtavīryārjuna Paṭala from Uḍḍāmareśvara Tantra. Incidentally, the same Tantra also deals elaborately with the worship of Mahāgaṇapati, Heramba, and Ucchiṣṭa gaṇapati.
dīpapriyaḥ kārtavīryo mārtāṇḍo nativallabhaḥ |
stutipriyo mahāviṣṇurgaṇeśastarpaṇapriyaḥ ||
durgārcanapriyā nūnamabhiṣekapriyaḥ śivaḥ |
tasmātteṣāṃ pratoṣāya vidadhyāttattadādarāt ||
Kārtavīryārjuna is easily pleased by dīpadāna vidhi. Sūryanārāyaṇa is pleased by namaskāra (sūrya namaskāra). Mahāviṣṇu is pleased by stotras (such as viṣṇu sahasranāma) and Gaṇapati is appeased by offering tarpaṇa. Durgā is pleased by arcana (suvāsinyarcanaprītā) and śiva by abhiṣeka (rudrābhiṣeka).
It is also said in Paraśurāma Kalpasūtra:
āyurārogyamaiśvaryaṃ balaṃ puṣṭirmahadyaśaḥ |
kavitvaṃ bhuktimuktī ca caturāvṛttitarpaṇāt ||
