The Mantrarāja of Lord Nr̥simha is the abode of infinite glory and the sure way for attaining Puruṣārtha-catuṣṭaya. This mantra of thirty-two letters is said to bless the practitioner with the grace of the Great Lord immediately. Like there is sanction to worship many forms of Parāmbā within the śrīcakra and using śrīvidyā, one can use the Mantrarāja to invoke various forms of Narasimha. The raśmis of the mantra vary based on the form invoked. For example, when this mantra is employed to invoke the grace and protection of Ugranr̥rsimha mūrti who rattled even the bhīṣanākrti of śarabha, the following thirty-two forms of the Lord i.e. thirty-two Nr̥simha mūrtis are invoked:
kṛṣṇo rudro mahāghoro bhīmo bhīṣaṇa ujjvalaḥ |
karālo vikarālaśca daityānto madhusūdanaḥ ||
raktākṣaḥ piṅgalākṣaścānjano dīptarucistathā |
sughorakaśca suhanurviśvākṣo rākṣasāntakaḥ ||
viśālako dhūmrakeśo hayagrīvo ghanasvanaḥ |
meghavarṇaḥ kumbhakarṇaḥ kṛtāntastīvratejakaḥ ||
agnivarṇo mahograśca tato viśvavibhūṣaṇaḥ |
vighnakṣamo mahāsenaḥ siṃho dvātriṃśadīritāḥ ||
The above mūrtis, along with the syllables of the mūlamantra are first used for nyāsa, then arcana, during the aṅgaparikalpana of the Lord (in the bindu of the Nr̥simha yantra) and finally during the maṇḍalavidhi in the thirty-two petalled lotus of Narasimha mahāyantra.
The Lord is meditated upon as resplendent with thirty-two lotus hands:
