Shaktipīṭha

 

The four śakti pīṭhas have traditionally been associated with the ādhāras as below:

Mūlādhāra: Kāmarūpa
Anāhata: Jālandhara
ājñā: Pūrṇagiri
Sahasrāra: ōḍḍiyāṇa

Rudrayāmaḷa lists a different correspondence:

Mūlādhāra: Kāmarūpa
Anāhata: Jālandhara
Viśuddhi: Pūrṇagiri
Lalāṭa: Kāśikā
ājñā: Jvalantī

A brief description of the navādhāras is seen in Saubhāgyalakṣmyupaniṣad and also a different mapping between the ādhāras and the pīṭhas:

Mūlādhāra: Kāmarūpa
Svādhiṣṭhāna: ōḍḍiyāṇa
Sahasrāra: Jālandhara
Vyōmacakra: Pūrṇagiri

In the Skandayāmaḷa, a totally different list is seen:

Mūlādhāra: śrīgiri
Svādhiṣṭhāna: Kāmarūpa
Maṇipūraka: ōḍḍiyāṇa
Anāhata: Kēdāra
Viśuddhi: Dvārakā
ājñā: Jālandhara
Sahasrāra: Pūrṇagiri
Dvādaśānta: Samvarta

A pūjākalpa of Hādi sect named Sundarī krama authored by a certain Sambhramānandanātha of Gurjara dēśa lists a peculiar pīṭha nyāsa involving the placement of sixteen pīṭhas, the corresponding śaktis and Bhairavas in the sixteen ādhāras of the sūkṣma dēha. The nyāsa is described as found in Pīṭhāmnāya Tantra. Interestingly, Puṇyānandanātha refers to this Tantra as well, which now seems to be lost.
