shrImadAchArya celebrates the brahmavidyA guru paramparA variously:

yairime gurubhiH pUrvaM padavAkyapramANataH |
vyAkhyAtA sarvavedAntAH tannityaM praNamAmyaham || [taittirIya bhAShya]

asyAshcha brahmavidyA sampradAyakartR^ipAramparya lakShaNaM AdAvevAha svayameva stutyartham || [muNDakopaniShad bhAShya]

Elsewhere:

atrokta vedAntArthasampradAyavidbhiH AchAryaiH |

He states explicitly in his bhAShyAmR^ita the fact that vidyA can be obtained only through pAramparya krama and not otherwise:

samprAptA brahmavidyA sA yebhyo brahmavAdibhyaH |
pAramparyakrameNa samprAptA tebhyo namaH paramR^ishibhyaH ||

He reverentially salutes the lineage of masters at the commencement of his bR^ihadAraNyaka bhAShya:

OM namo brahmAdibhyo brahmavidyAsampradAyakartR^ibhyo vamsharshibhyo namo gurUbhyaH ||

parashurAma, in his tantra, reiterates the importance of sampradAya:

sampradAyavishvAsAbhyAM sarvasiddhiH |

While shruti mUla shAstras are the highest authority, the correct interpretation and application of these shAstras can become possible only through samprAdya and not through mere study. Thus, shAstra and sampradAya go hand in hand. The glory of the deshika is hence stated as below:

shrutiH pratyakShamaitihyamanumAnachatuShTayam |
yasya chAtmatapo veda deshikaM cha sadA smaret ||

Also, the intent behind the assumption of the role of sarvAdi guru by bhagavatI shrIvidyA parameshvarI to propagate the holiest of vidyAs through the guru sampradAya is explained thus by shrImadAchArya - prANyanugrahAya:

vidyAsantatishcha prANyanugrahAya bhavati nauriva nadIM titIrShoH |
